- What’s a unique skill or perspective you bring to your role at Capitol Lien?
With a background in the legal field, encompassing finance, real estate and corporate law, I’ve developed a clear understanding of the reasons behind the work we do each day. This perspective allows me to approach my responsibilities with intention and thoughtfulness.
- Share a professional success story that you’re proud of OR What’s the most challenging project you’ve tackled, and how did you overcome it?
One particular professional success story I’m proud of involved establishing processes and procedures to effectively manage and maintain governance documentation and information for a large portfolio of entities. I am always looking for practical ways to improve workflows and increase efficiency.
- What’s your favorite part about collaborating with your team?
Our small but mighty team is comprised of some of the most caring, kind and thoughtful people. Each person is a true team player, always ready to step in and support one another wherever needed.
- What do you love most about your job and why?
I enjoy the variety and challenges this role provides. Every day brings something new, creating continuous opportunities for growth and learning.
- What’s one tool or resource you couldn’t do your job without?
Tongue in cheek, I would say I can do absolutely nothing without my morning coffee!
In all seriousness, I truly couldn’t do my job without the incredible team here at Capitol Lien. The people here are exceptional, and make all things possible for our clients and one another!
- What do you love to do in your free time?
I love spending time outdoors, whether gardening, paddleboarding at the lake or reading in my hammock. The winter months offer more time to enjoy scrapbooking.
- What’s a small, everyday thing that brings you joy?
I enjoy quiet mornings with a mug of hot coffee and a good book.
- What’s the best vacation you’ve ever taken, and what made it memorable?
All vacations with my family are the best ones! The closer to the beach/ocean I can get, the better. I have been blessed with several nice vacations, but would say my favorite was our family trip to Costa Rica. There are so many things to see and do, from deep sea fishing to ziplining with an ocean view.
- If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three items would you want with you?
A book, a hammock and a fishing pole.
- Do you have any pets?
Absolutely! I have a 10-year old, 5-pound Yorkie named Libby (whose given name is Liberty, as she was born on the Fourth of July). She’s the perfect blend of sweet and sassy, with a personality like no other! She loves the outdoors and spending time on the water, whether she’s in a boat or joining me on my paddle board.
