  1. What’s a unique skill or perspective you bring to your role at Capitol Lien?
Before working at Capitol Lien, I worked at a title company prepping files and conducting closings. It has been a helpful perspective to have as I know what our clients do with the work we provide and the importance of providing good, accurate research.
  2. Share a professional success story that you’re proud of OR What’s the most challenging project you’ve tackled, and how did you overcome it?
My first job in high school, I worked at Papa Murphy’s. There were actually two of them in my hometown but the locations had different owners. The owners I worked for always stressed the importance of customer service and making sure we were paying attention to quality and consistency. Initially, high school me, didn’t think too much about it. Then one day, we had a customer come in and tell us that he actually lives closer to the other Papa Murphy’s in town but strictlygoes out of his way to come to the one I worked at because the customer service and consistency was significantly better than the other store. I have carried that lesson with me ever since!
  3. What’s your favorite part about collaborating with your team?
I really enjoy being a part of a team that can make work fun and entertaining. Even though we don’t work in the same physical space, we’re still able to enjoy ourselves and have some comradery. We’re very supportive of each other as well.
  4. What do you love most about your job and why?
While I love being part of a team, I also enjoy having my own work. For me, it feels like the best of both worlds. I really enjoy working for a company that supports and respects their employees.
  5. What’s one tool or resource you couldn’t do your job without?
My colleagues! It is extremely helpful to work with others who offer to step in and help when they can.
  6. What do you love to do in your free time?
love playing outside with my 4 year old son. I also love reading, playing video games, listening to music, and baking.
  7. What’s a small, everyday thing that brings you joy?
When my son wakes up in the morning, he climbs into my bed to give me a big hug. Best way to start any day!
  8. What’s a hidden talent or hobby that might surprise your colleagues?
I really enjoy ice fishing! In fact, I just caught my personal biggest walleye and bass this past weekend.
  9. What’s your most-used emoji, and what does it say about you?
The laughing emoji. 🤣 I absolutely love to laugh and make other people laugh as well.
  10. Do you have any pets?
I have a yellow lab named Winston. He’s an old, sweet boy. He absolutely loves going
pheasant hunting and running in big fields with my husband. In fact, if he even sees my
husband’s pants that he wears to go hunting, he starts bouncing off the walls with excitement.
