What do you do at Capitol Lien?

I am an abstractor for mainly Ramsey County.

What is the best part about your Capitol Lien career?

I love the flexibility and the great support from our team!

How did you get into this industry?

Like most abstractors, I sort of fell into this role. I went to paralegal school after college and got a job at a big foreclosure law firm. I started doing abstracting for them after about a year, and that led to my job at Capitol Lien!

What do you do in your free time?

I participate in kickboxing classes and teach kickboxing at Farrell’s in St. Paul. I’m also a huge Sci-Fi nerd and am slowly working my way through a list of the 100 greatest Sci-Fi Books of all time.

What was your first-ever job?

I worked the drive-through at Fazoli’s. Really, really happy I don’t have to do that job anymore.

Where would your dream vacation be?

Literally anywhere, but I have always wanted to go to Bora Bora and stay in one of those cabins with the glass see-through floor where you can see the fish!

What is your favorite meal/food?

I LOVE FOOD. But as far as favorites, I have never met a taco I didn’t like.

What is your favorite quote?

“An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.” – Gandhi

What have you gained since working at Capitol Lien?

A great career! Every day I gain more and more knowledge on the ins and outs of Ramsey County.

What is your favorite service/product we offer to our clients and why?

I like the 30-year searches – it’s fun to go back in time and find your deed – sort of like a treasure hunt!
