Meet Jana! Jana has been with us for a little over a year, and in that time, she’s made a huge impact helping us on the National Research Team! If you make your way into our St. Paul office, you’ll be greeted by Jana (or one of her cute dogs!).
Q: What do you do at Capitol Lien?
A: I process Corporate Filings, Document Orders, and Minnesota UCCs as part of our National Research Team.
Q: What is the best part about your Capitol Lien Career?
A: While I have not been employed at Capitol Lien for long, the measures management has taken to ensure our safety during the Covid-Pandemic has been the best part of working here thus far. Also, my dogs get to come to work and get spoiled – that is their favorite part about my career here.
Q: How did you get into this industry?
A: Initially, I worked for the Minnesota Secretary of State in the Business Services Division for seven years.
Q: What do you do in your free time?
A: In the winter? My top three activities mainly consist of snow shoveling (thanks, Minnesota) while trying not to think about moving to warmer climates, reading, and crafting. Basically, I can be mistaken for an 112 year old grandma.
Q: What was your first-ever job?
A: My mom had me and my siblings clean up the yard when we were young. She paid us a penny for each pinecone we collected. I, of course, picked up not only pinecones in the yard but also from the wooded areas around the house. I made $14. While this might not be considered a real job, I consider it a job well done.
Q: What is your favorite meal/food?
A: Deep Fried Cheese Curds! Shout out to Mac’s Fish and Chips for supporting my addiction.
Q: What’s something most people don’t know about you?
A: I am mighty handy with a splitting maul and a cord of wood.
Q: What have you gained since working at Capitol Lien?
A: I am proud to say that I have been given the opportunity to expand my corporate Minnesota knowledge base to all states across the nation. In addition, I have been enabled to provide excellent customer service to our clients.
Q: What is your favorite service we offer to our clients and why?
A: Capitol Lien offers so many different services, it would be hard to choose one. However, I do enjoy that we are able to offer expedited service on most of our corporate filings and document orders for clients who are under a deadline.
